The second edition of this popular grammar text has expanded its contents from the original edition and includes many new exercises. Each chapter includes cumulative review exercises. Though it is a grammar text, it fosters the development of all language skills. It introduces students to the form, meaning and usage of basic English structures and is intended both as a reference book and workbook. Appendices provide the following essentials for beginning English students: the alphabet, numbers, days and months, ways of saying the time and irregular verbs.
