Tort and contract law for paralegals Cover Image Book Book

Tort and contract law for paralegals / Carolyn A. MacLean, Alex Colangelo.

MacLean, Carolyn, (author.). Colangelo, Alex, (author.).

Summary:

"The study of tort and contract law is typically combined into one course in Ontario's paralegal programs. In the torts section of the course, students gain an understanding of intentional torts, negligence, occupier's liability, strict liability, vicarious liability, and remedies. In the contracts section, they learn elements of a contract, defects, methods of discharge, breach of contract, and remedies for breach of contract. This new edition will reverse the part order of the previous edition - torts will be first, then contracts, following the order in which the subjects are taught in all paralegal programs with the sole exception of Seneca, which teaches contracts first. This also matches the LSO course title."-- Provided by publisher.
